1. Purpose
This Fair Play & Anti-Cheating Policy protects the integrity of learning, practice, AI review, training and community features on YiChess.
2. Prohibited Assistance
You must not use chess engines, bots, scripts, automation, overlays, screen readers, real-time move recommendations, another person’s real-time help or unauthorized external tools during restricted play modes or any mode where external assistance is not expressly allowed.
AI review is for post-game educational review and training only. We do not permit AI review outputs, best-move suggestions, engine overlays or automated tools to be used as real-time assistance during live games, competitions, examinations or restricted play.
3. Prohibited Account and Match Conduct
You must not engage in account sharing, boosting, sandbagging, smurfing, rating manipulation, collusion, pre-arranged results, win trading, multi-account abuse, disconnection abuse, latency manipulation, bug exploitation, harassment, threats or abusive behavior.
4. Detection and Review
We may use automated systems, statistical analysis, device/session signals, gameplay patterns, timing data, reports, payment abuse indicators and manual review to detect violations.
We may not disclose all detection details, thresholds, models or evidence where disclosure would undermine security or anti-cheating systems.
5. Consequences
Violations may result in warnings, rating adjustments, match cancellation, feature restriction, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, denial of refunds where permitted, revocation of entitlements, preservation of evidence and reporting to payment providers where fraud or abuse is suspected.
6. Appeals
You may appeal an enforcement action by contacting support@yichess.com. Include your account email, user ID if available, date of action, reason for appeal and any relevant explanation.
7. Account and Login Signals
For fair play, anti-cheating, fraud prevention and security, we may review account-level signals such as repeated account creation, suspicious login attempts, linked login methods, device/session patterns, chargebacks, abnormal behavior, abuse reports and security events. Google sign-in data is not used as proof of cheating by itself.
